Work Area

.

SKETCH PLAN

I went with the measuring tape and got to work to know how much space could be use to optimize my working area. Best of most W40K player gets for space is to a minimum a 10 x 10 foot room. I end it up with a 10 x 12 foot room which should be about near what most of you have for geeks stuff home space. The good news is once staged correctly any room can become a Fenris Wolf paradise in no time... Tzeentch be damned !!!

Top View

Here is the top view of the room has you can see the bottom area is left empty for in my case I have two doors in that area. The window was restricting me on the left side so I've put a bench to be use for inside storage emplacement for army transport bags and fishing kit 'Bitz Box'. Top area is govern for computer work and paint setup while the right side is mainly for books, maps and wall posters. Middle of the room is a Realm of Battle Gameboard Table of 4 tiles which is enough for small skirmish with friends, army units tryout or even a footslogger building loaded Cities of Death game. Apocalypse or Planetstrike games will be play elsewhere in the house if needed on 6 foot tables stored in the garage. Else few shelves for the armies itself here and there and storage place within the corners (See following Sketches).

Right View

Going in details and side view the Raider area will help me store the 'Blackwulf Raider' ship. The bench will help for having storage and a second place to easily sit down around the table. Two adjustable shelves units and a corner one for miniatures storage complete the wall.

Center View

Being restricted in space for the center wall I have setup the computer in that area and made sure to have enough space for a good size computer screen. Tablets for paint gear and tools on both side will make sure I don't have to go too far to reach what I need when converting or painting. The two bottom corner space will be use for the computer and the camera kit. Shelves are adjustable so no big worries in the planning of storage heights.

Left View

On the left side an adjustable army shelve for the enemies units. Another adjustable shelve units for the W40K Army, Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Dark Heresy and Black Crusade books. In the center a tall shelves for some of the best Black Library Novels and some light fixtures for a Planetary Empire Map of the Death World of Kanis. Kanis being the campaign world where the Wolf Brothers are to try and survive for awhile. Edge board for pen and pencil and the easily reach miniatures in work, in demonstration or well... game dead.
